The Delectable Mountain quilt was raffled on Saturday, February 10, 2007, during the Solera Ladies Club dance. The lucky winner was Pat Zimmerman.
In photo, Anne Marie Brown (left) helps the ecstatic Pat Zimmerman display the quilt.
Measuring 72” x 80”, it’s a paper-pieced design, based on the pattern “Eye Dazzler”, from the book “Quilts of the Southwest”, by J. Michelle Watts.
The quilt top was made by about 20 members of the Sew What Quilters club, on May 15, 2006.
In just under 8 hours, they completed this traditional piece, which was then taken to the Cutting Edge, Chandler, for professional machine finishing.
Proceeds from the raffle were used to purchase some of the fabric and batting for the ‘Operation Love’ project. ■
