What we are about
We are a group of Quilters, bound together by the love of our craft. Our aim is to help others the best way we know how, and Project Linus gives us the opportunity to help many needy children.
Our club was started in 2002 by Loretta Benna and about 4 other residents. Since then we have grown in size to 30 members. As of January 2007, we had donated 658 blankets to the Project Linus Foundation.
We meet every Monday in the Arts & Crafts room from 8:30 to 10 A.M. Our business meeting is held on the first Monday of each month from 9 to 10 A.M. All residents are welcome to join us. There are no dues for our club, and all classes and demos are free.
We raise funds by having quilt raffles, and selling items such as potato bakers, adult bibs, small quilts and other items. Many residents also donate supplies, as well as quilts and afghans, for the Linus Project.
