Challenge Block 

This year all of the Challenge Blocks, will be 8-point stars, from the book “Stars by Magic” written by Nancy Johnson-Srebro.

All blocks will be 12” in size, but there will be a variation to the look and method of making the 8-point star.

Sharon Eboch, Chairman of the Challenge Block, will continue to select the colors for each block, and give demonstrations when needed.

The idea is to make 2 blocks -- one in the Challenge Block colors which will be entered in the block lotto, and another for yourself in colors of your choice. By making the extra block, you will have 12 blocks by the end of the year; enough to make a personal quilt or gift for a special someone.

January’s block was a white star on a red background, and February’s was a purple star on a red, purple and teal background.
